Our network was founded in 1992, the goal was to create a positive environment where women could mentor, empower, & support each other in both their business & personal endeavours!
The intent was by building relationships, making connections, supporting & learning & sharing with each that we could then promote & network together. That first monthly meeting, 65 women attended. The Parksville Qualicum Beach Women’s Business Network was in full swing!
Throughout the years, the network has continued to grow & evolve! In 1999, we became a not for profit society & our official constitution & bylaws were created, followed by a name change to more accurately reflect the geographical reach of our Membership. It was then, Oceanside Women’s Business Network was born.
Today OWBN continues to thrive, This year we are celebrating 30 years and we know for a fact that we are stronger together! We are proud that many of our founding members are still Active members today & we continue to be a member driven society!
