Tracey Babb Pike has been a Hatha Yoga Instructor in the Qualicum, Parksville community since 2004. Have been an arthritis sufferer herself since her adolescense, she has an understanding on how to deal with pain and overcoming the obstacles. Yoga has changed her life and she wishes to teach and share all that she learns. To be a teacher she is always continuing her education on wellness and fitness. Tracey’s style of yoga classes is generally about overcoming pain with optomism, mobility, gaining flexibility and strength: physically, mentally and spiritually. You can find Tracey teaching various styles of classes for all ages and levels of fitness at The Gardens, in Qualicum Beach, Bareroots Natural Health & Yoga Centre in French Creek and also at Aurora Wellness Centre, on Kaye Rd. in Nanoose Bay. Visit http://www.yoga4you.me for her schedule.
Once Tracey began her own healing journey with yoga and learning more about energy, she couldn’t be more intrigued, and soon became a Biodynamic Cranialsacral Therapist in 2015. This non-invasive, non-manipulating, hands on therapy has proven itself to help her with her overall wellness. Improving her energy and aiding her body to help heal itself. This therapy also helps the client to witness and realize their own self sabotaging behaviours and patterns, and aids a person to overcome these obstacles that we create to protect and guard ourselves from pain, which only leads to more pain. Biodynamic Cranialsacral therapy facilitates the body’s inherent intelligence to surface and return our whole system to greater vitality and balance. It is an effective form of treatment for a wide range of disorders and conditions. It naturally aides the body, by unwinding injury, settling the nervous system, guiding the immune system and restoring health. Events in our lives (injury, stress, trauma, experiences of grief) can create patterns where tissues become held and are unable to fully express their motion. A therapist is able to feel these patterns and restore their natural rhythms. The sooner you see Tracey for a condition, such as a fall, fracture, or car accident, or any unwanted behaviour, such as anxiety or depression, the sooner you will heal!
